My aim as a tutor is to give you a solid foundation in aspects of editorial practice that will help you to move forward with confidence, whether to pursue a career in editing or to impove how you write and edit your own work.
I’m an advanced professional member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) and was elected as it’s marketing director in 2017 and then vice-chair in 2023.
I teach proofreading and marketing workshops for Publishing Scotland and am a regular speaker at editorial conferences.
